Revival’s in the air; Catch it if you can…. The dawn is breaking; Lift your eyes to see (Lyrics of Revivals in the Air by Melissa Helser)
It seems virtually every day the Lord is stirring the hearts of His people. It seems as if He is charging the air with His power and His glory in anticipation of what He is and will be doing in this new era. Psalm 51:10 in the Message Translation reads: God, make a fresh start in me, shape a Genesis week from the chaos of my life. David was not merely asking for God to reshape his heart or redeem what had gone wrong in his heart or to restore it to make it whole. He was asking for a new beginning, for a fresh start.
After this time of reset due to the pandemic crisis and economic downturn, God is calling us back to a place where we don’t just hunger for renewed or reformed hearts – to become a brand new wineskin and not merely a refurbished old wineskin. Let us be hungry and thirsty for more of Him and let revival begin with us.
‘Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? (Isaiah 43: 18-19 NIV)
